David H. Vaught, CFA, is a Chartered Financial Analyst with substantial investment and legal experience. David served on the Investment Policy Committee overseeing the Illinois Treasurer’s $5 billion portfolio. He supervised both the expansion of its targeted investment portfolio and the first use of outside portfolio managers for the Treasurer’s fixed income portfolio. He engaged in the general practice of law for thirteen years and developed a specialized practice in tax consulting, financial planning, and investment advice.
David is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He received his J.D. degree cum laude from Southern Illinois University School of Law. David became a Chartered Financial Analyst in 1994, a Certified Financial Planner in 1988, and has been a member of the Illinois Bar since 1977. He formerly served as an elected member of the Naperville District 203 school board. He has completed course work and a thesis on tax accounting for the DePaul University College of Law, Master of Law in Taxation Program. |
