Tracy Clark's New Book Review

As part of our focus on International March Women’s Month, we thought it would be a good time to review local author Tracy Clark’s new book “Fall”. I found it to be a page turner and was hard to put down.

Ms. Clark was a guest author at MVT’s Women’s Investment Symposium held at the Union League Club in March of last year.

At that event Ms. Clark discussed her writing process, life as an author, her Chicago connections and discussed her new book “Hide” where she introduced the group to a new complex and intriguing character - -Chicago Police Department Homicide Detective Harriet Foster. That book had very good reviews from other murder mystery writers, local groups and readers on Amazon.

Her new book “Fall” is set in Chicago where the release of a corrupt Alderperson from prison is followed up by the death by suicide or murder of a currently serving Alderperson.

Lot’s of twists and turns keep the readers moving through the streets of Chicago as suspects come and “go“ as CPD Detective Harriet Foster and her partner Detective Vera Li return from their introduction in Stacy Clark’s “Hide” to track down the killer.

Like her other five highly regarded murder mystery novels, the reader gets to know the characters in this book. You won’t find stereotypes of police officers, victims or suspects. They are all complex and come across as having strengths and weaknesses that make them interesting to get to know.

“Fall” can be purchased at all the usual places including Amazon where it has already received over 3331 reviews averaging 4.5 Stars out of 5 positive reviews. It is also available at local Chicago booksellers The Book Cellar, Centuries and Sleuths, and Semicolon. We also have some “slightly used” copies around the office for clients and friends. Just call 312-922-1717 or write me at Veronica Castro at vcastro@mvtinvest.com.

Not sure what plans we have for a Women’s Investment Event in 2024, but I am working up some ideas so call or write if you have any suggestions.

Have a Happy and Healthy 2024.
