Welcome to the MVT Common Fund

What is the MVT Common Fund?

The MVT Common Fund is a customizable global fund that is created by the financial advisors at Mitchell, Vaught & Taylor, Inc. It is built on lessons that we have learned over more than twenty-five years to provide you with strategies that work.

At MVT, we believe in responsible investing. The Common Fund not only aligns with MVT’s historical principles, but also considers the growth and future of personalized, dynamic investing. Constructing investment portfolios that are diversified and seek to preserve principal and liquidity are key concepts.

We have partnered with Charles Schwab Corporation to provide you with our hand-picked portfolio of Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) at a lower cost using digitally accessible automated investment services. This means that you will have access to our wealth management expertise and freedom to control how your money grows, with fewer paper forms but the same amount of transparency.

Exchange Traded Funds

An Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) is a group of stocks or bonds that are traded on financial exchanges just like individual stocks. This means you will have exposure to more assets and have only one transaction fee while trading multiple assets at once. There are many kinds of ETFs to choose from with a multitude of themes that will allow you to balance risk in addition to being tax conscious.

Are ETFs the right vehicle for investing? We have other options, but for some clients an ETF approach makes sense. We have attached some information on ETFs for you to watch. It will explain ETFs and provide some basic information.

A Personalized Approach to Investing

The MVT Common Fund investment process begins when you answer a few questions about your investment goals and preferences (such as risk tolerance). After assessing your responses, we will work with you to create a portfolio that seeks to meet those goals while remaining true to the firm’s philosophy.

ESG Investing

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles are the criteria that govern ESG investing. The MVT Common Fund can help you invest in companies that are making the world a better place. These companies place importance on their environmental, social, and governance standards. You can expand your asset allocation while also supporting positive change.

Growing Dividend Yield

We seek to invest in dividend stocks that have had a track record of growing dividend yield over the past 10-25 years. Dividend stocks may provide a recurring source of income that you can monitor as the payments accrue to your account. Dividend investing can be a great investment strategy over time.

Innovation

“Change is the only constant in life.” – Heraclitus

Stay ahead of the curve by investing in innovative companies with automated investing automation. We have created portfolios that are comprised of companies that are considered innovators in their field. It can be hard to keep up with all the newest businesses, market changes, and technologies. Let us ease that burden for you.

Bond Exposure

Our customized portfolios are built with diversification in mind. We prepare our clients for all market trends by making sure that they are not overexposed to high risk assets.  Bonds can provide a predictable income stream while preserving capital. We attempt to reduce the risk for our clients who are investing for the long-term by offering access to bond ETFs.

Why Create the Common Fund?

The idea of the Common Fund grew out of discussions with clients about the idea that we needed to provide an investment alternative for our clients, their family members, investors that were new to the market, and trustees of institutional accounts who believe in the benefits of long-term investing in domestic, international, and global markets. According to the Statista Research Department (https://www.statista.com/statistics/278249/global-number-of-etfs/) in 2021 there were over 8500 ETFs globally and the ETF worldwide managed assets were more than 10 trillion U.S. dollars.

What Is the Value Proposition for Investors?

We provide value in helping investors deal with the many choices currently available. We conduct extensive research on all of the assets in the fund while following the investment philosophy we have used for more than two and a half decades. We do this analysis in a disciplined, thorough, and consistent manner so that you don’t have to.

You can open an MVT Common Fund account on our website (here) or by contacting Marjorie Mitchell at 312-922-1717.
